Melbourne Day

“The 30th August marks 173 years since the founding of Melbourne..”

And so.. it’s Melbourne Day, and from what I’ve heard from my housemate, Darren, there’s this “2 for 1 entry” at most of the touristy places. But too bad, going to give it a miss since it’s just 1 for now. :(

**Nope I did not give it a miss. Not that the offer was too good, but it was just an impromptu wanna-go-out thing. Neighbour boy and my housemates decided to go grocery shopping at richmond before heading over to Eureka, (where we could use the 2 for 1 thing), so I joined them, had a fun ride with “duck car”, became touristy, and amazed ourselves with the scenic views at the Eureka skydeck.

And yup, we had a couple of quick-stay-still-for-5-seconds shots taken with the help of Darren’s tripod + the power of two dslr’s.

On a side note, I’m having my mid semester break this week. Time to catch up with all my assignments + the magazine deadline due the following tuesday. But.. road trips anyone? i “could” drive. :P

Flashy wednesday

It’s been quite a while. Just thought of sharing my mini exercise that I did today, where I learnt how to use buttons/actions/labels in Adobe Flash, i.e. A SIMPLE SLIDESHOW / gallery. At first I’ve got no idea what my lecturer was talking about because of the wonder terms he used, and the examples he showed. I thought he was going to teach us how to animate an object or something. Ha. Blame the mornings.. always a little slow in digesting words. Anyhows, if it appears, (or if I embedded it correctly), do navigate using the color dots. Teehee. 8)

PS: Going to be a pro soon. Don’t laugh.

Project; pantones

A few days back, I printed green pantones on a different type of paper so as to choose which color works best for one of my projects, and the lady at the print shop screwed up. She printed on A3 instead of my A4 papers. And so, to not waste the ‘pantones’, I actually cut them up and slowly pasted it onto my wall.

The initial plan was to make it look like pixelated grass (how corny), but plan failed, butttt, there’s always PLAN B. So look what I’ve got.

Wrong choice of color for a pretty heart, but I guess it’ll ‘grow’ into something else, when I’ve got nothing better to do. Till then.. :-?

Thursday

It’s nice seeing the sun set, but yet pop out for just that few seconds on a gloomy day.
